  • Beyond the classroom, the 'University Discovery' program brings learning to life. Students explore the lesser-known facets of Cambridge through guided tours, unravel myths and legends, embark on a treasure hunt, and partake in a fun selfie challenge around the university.

July 6, 2024 - London: Full-day excursion including a walking tour of famous sights: St Paul’s Cathedral, Millennium Bridge, Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre, the London Eye, Big Ben, Horse Guards Parade, Trafalgar Square, and St James’ Park. Afternoon shopping on Oxford Street.

July 13, 2024 - Peterborough & Ely: Visit to Peterborough Cathedral, lunch and shopping at Queensgate Shopping Centre, followed by a walking tour around the ancient city of Ely.

July 20, 2024 - London:

  • For first-time visitors: Repeat of the July 6 walking tour and shopping.
  • For repeat visitors: Visit to the British Museum and Covent Garden.

July 27, 2024 - Windsor: Entry to Windsor Castle, the oldest and largest inhabited castle globally. Opportunity for souvenir shopping.

August 3, 2024 - London:

  • For first-time visitors: Repeat of the July 6 walking tour and shopping.
  • For repeat visitors: Excursion to the Science Museum, Hyde Park, and shopping in South Kensington (including Harrods).

Transportation

  • Airport Transfers: Included for Heathrow and Stansted arrivals/departures on Sundays.

  • Arrival/departure time: Arrive by 20:00 on Sunday before course; depart on Sunday after course.

  • Aim for 14:00-17:00 on Sunday at accommodation.

  • For transfers to or from Gatwick or Luton airports on Sundays a supplement is charged.

  • Inform us if arranging your own transfer to accommodation.

  • Our team meets you at the airport, with transport to accommodation.

  • Unaccompanied Minors (UM): Check airline rules for under 18 travel; provide our contact details.

  • Travel Rules for Under 18s: Verify country-specific travel consent requirements. Parental Consent is required for under 18s traveling without parents.

Typical Days

Morning Lessons

  • 09:00-10:30 - Friendship Focus: Dive into phrasal verbs and hone your listening skills in English topic and life skills lessons 1 & 2.
  • 11:00-12:30 - English Communication: Enhance your pronunciation and speaking abilities in an engaging session titled “How cool are you?” during lessons 3 & 4.

Afternoon Lessons

  • 13:45-15:15 - Cambridge University Discovery: Explore the fascinating world of Cambridge scientists and their discoveries in lessons 5 & 6.
  • 15:45-17:15 - Language Project: Unleash your creativity as you plan and conceptualize a music video.

Evening Activities

  • 19:00-21:00 - Punting on the River Cam: Cap off your day with a relaxing and picturesque punting experience on the iconic River Cam.

Extras

  • Gatwick Airport Transfer: 215 GBP/one-way for a car to Cambridge.

  • Pocket Money Advice: Students should bring about £80 per week for personal expenses like souvenirs and snacks. For younger students at residential camps, it's advised to deposit money in the 'school bank' for safekeeping, accessible at set times.
