Cutting-Edge Winter Camp - Lausanne

The Winter Course is for students looking to have a short stay, international learning experience, including French.

It is ideally suited to students in countries which enjoy long holidays from January - what better way to make good use of the vacation!

You'll follow regular classes with the other students, taking French and other High School subjects too. You'll be fully integrated into boarding school life and can experience living with students from many different countries. 

Aside from the academic programme, Winter Course students participate in clubs and school activities and enjoy the ski / winter sports programme, with skiing every weekend and sledging.

AGE RANGE

The Winter Course is for students who are currently studying in Grades 8 and 9 or who are in the Transition Year (Ireland). 

This usually corresponds to students aged 13-15.

AN EXCITING, FUN AND VARIED PROGRAMME

DURING WEEKS 1-4, CLASSES IN:

Intensive French (8-10 periods per week)

English

Optional Humanities class (History / Geography / Economics)

Art / photography

Sports

Swiss Discovery (learn about Swiss cultures, traditions, history)

& participation in any after school club (e.g. basketball, football, tennis, creative arts, cooking, music and more)

& participation in school events (e.g. international evenings, cultural trips)

& weekly excursion to participate in a winter sports activity (e.g. skiing, sledging, snow-shoeing, ice skating)

DURING WEEK 5:

Swiss Explorer week - an excursion every day to join a winter sports activity or to visit a famous Swiss landmark or city

(programme finalised based on the weather /snow conditions)

** EVERY WEEKEND:**

 A full day ski trip to a leading Swiss ski resort (e.g. Verbier, Crans Montana, Portes du Soleil, Villars, Glacier 3000 )

 OPTION WEEK 6:

 Join the school year students for the annual Ski trip for a week of fun and memories in Zinal.

 This option MUST be reserved at the time of application.

What is Included

• Everything is included and there are no hidden extras.

• All classes, activities and excursions.

• All school clubs and materials used.

• All ski /snowboard equipment (though students may prefer to come with their own) and lift passes. Full board and accommodation.

• Airport transfers from and to Geneva on the designated arrival/departure days (45 minutes). Accident and health insurance.

• Sweatshirt.
