Location

Classes are held in an impressive building on six floors, 5 minutes' walk from Gloucester Road and Earl's Court Underground Stations. It is in a safe residential area.

What's Included

Half day, non-residential day courses for ages from 5-17 year old (From beginner to advanced):

  • 15 hours' tuition per week

  • Maximum class size: 12 students

  • A highlight of the week is the study visit with your teacher to one of the Kensington museums (Science, Natural History, V&A), Design Museum, a 20-25 minute walk away

  • Children aged 5-6 are accepted only when their parent/guardian is studying with us or stays on-site until the child settles. They engage in fun on-site English activities, skipping study visits.

Full day courses for ages from 13-17 year old (From elementary to advanced):

  • All tuition and teaching materials

  • Student folder, academic report, certificate and course photo

  • Entry fees on all excursions and study visits

  • Afternoon activities

  • English classes + afternoon Explore London visits; 09:00-17:00 Monday to Friday

NOT included in the fees:

  • Accommodation or airport transfers

  • Medical and Travel Insurance

  • Optional family social events

  • Courier fee (e.g. for visa invitation letter), if required, £50.

  • Full Day Teens: Lunch and a London travel card (All afternoon visits are taken by public transport. You need to bring a Zone 1 Travel/Oyster Card - approx £25/week)

Activities

  • Afternoon activities are held on site and include arts & crafts, team building, researching and creating a London timeline.
  • Optional weekly afternoon or evening family social event (at extra cost, approx. £15-£40 per person) e.g. dinners in local restaurants, musicals, Thames river cruise.

Lesson Plan

TEACHING PROGRAM

  • You will be sent a written placement test to do online before arrival
  • On Monday morning you'll be given an oral grading test and placed in class at your level
  • On Tuesday or Wednesday morning you will visit a musuem with your teacher to research information related to your weekly project
  • You'll work with other students in small, multi-national groups to complete your project
  • On Fridays your parents are invited to the presentations. You'll gain confidence, develop presentation skills and share your learning with your family
  • When you finish the course, you'll receive an end-of-course report, a certificate and class photo.
  • A little homework is set each day

Potential projects could involve;

Natural History Museum Visit

  • Project: Extinction Rebellion
  • Content: Present your own live TV show! Interview endangered animals about the changes they are experiencing in their habitats.

Science Museum Visit

  • Project: Top Secret
  • Content: What does it take to be a great spy? Learn the tricks of the trade and create a guide for your international friends.

**V&A Visit: **

  • Project: Historic London
  • Content: Find out about famous Londoners. Create a multi-media timeline about their lives and achievements.

Design Museum Visit:

  • Project: Powerful Packaging
  • Content: From Cornflakes to Coca-cola. Explore what makes eye-catching packaging that is also environmentally friendly.

HALF DAY - For Juniors&Teens | 5-17 years

  • 15 hours' tuition per week (09:00 -12:30h or 13:30 -17:00h) Monday to Friday. Afternoon classes subject to demand
  • Maximum class size: 12 students
  • A highlight of the week is the study visit with your teacher to one of the Kensington museums (Science, Natural History, V&A), Design Museum, a 20-25 minute walk away
  • 5-6 year olds are only accepted if their parent/guardian is studying with us or stays at the school until their child is settled. They do not go on study visits; instead they'll be learning English through fun activities on site

FULL DAY - For Teens | 13-17 years

  • 15 hours' tuition per week + an afternoon program of exciting excursions and activities. Monday to Friday 09.00h - 17.00h
  • Maximum English class size: 12 students. You'll be learning with other students who may only be studying in the mornings
  • Classes are lively and fun. There is an emphasis on improving spoken English whilst learning new grammar and vocabulary
  • On one morning a week you'll be taken on a study visit with your teacher to one of the Kensington museums e.g. Science, Natural History, V&A, Design Museum, a 20-25 minute walk away.
