Our Junior School aims to give your children the very best primary education, preparing them for their future in secondary school and beyond. Our bilingual Junior School experience is designed to immerse pupils in both English and French equally. We also offer an English pathway for pupils.
This is a gentle introduction into bilingualism, rather than a full immersion as provided by our bilingual programme. By having five French lessons a week as well as doing Music and Art in French the children can improve their language skills and grow in confidence at their own pace. Children can transition into the bilingual programme when and if they are ready. Our Secondary School (Middle) is an essential period between Primary (Junior) and High (Senior) School where pupils learn key skills in a fun and creative environment. Curriculum programme:
Our Lower Secondary International Cambridge curriculum caters to pupils with any language background, promotes bilingualism, maintains consistency and continuity from the Junior School and provides creativity and collaboration for effective learning. Lessons blend traditional and modern learning approaches to cater for each pupil.
The Secondary School provides a holistic approach that encourages all pupils to challenge themselves and develop their confidence in the three pillars of the Inspired Group’s vision: the academic, sporting, and artistic fields.
Our learners also acquire crucial tools in the study of International Citizenship, and our innovative and dedicated Life Skills Programme enables our pupils to become balanced individuals with intercultural and altruistic minds.
The Secondary School provides an early opportunity to develop responsibility and leadership skills and pupils to take an active role in its daily organisation. Pupils can become members of the Pupil Council, Monitors, School Ambassadors or House Captains to engage fully in the life of their school and maintain its visionary and modern outlook.
Our High School delivers education to pupils in the four final years of secondary education. From Year 10 to Year 13, our pupils are offered multiple opportunities to fulfil their individual potential and develop their talents academically and personally.
Curriculum programme:
Our broad and balanced International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) programme in Years 10 and 11, enables pupils to explore their areas of interest in a nurturing and supportive environment where creative arts and sport support our holistic approach to education.
In Years 12 and 13, our International Baccalaureate Diploma and General Diploma programmes offer multiple subject options and combinations. Pupils fulfil the requirements for university entry while developing as principled, well-rounded lifelong learners and committed global citizens.
The International General Certificate of Secondary Education course of study is implemented within the second stage of secondary education in Years 10 and 11. At the school, the programme is taught to pupils aged 14 to 16.
The Pre-Diploma Programme has been designed for students aged 15-16 who want to build a solid foundation before embarking on their two year IB Programme or High School Diploma Programme.
The General Diploma Programme (GDP) is a two-year course which includes the study of the following subjects: Language, Foreign Language, Humanities, Sciences, Mathematics and Computing and Expressive & Performing Arts. The High School Diploma is awarded to pupils who have successfully completed four years of high school study and met the school’s graduation requirements.
Founded in Geneva, Switzerland in 1968, the International Baccalaureate Organization (IBO) has developed four different educational programmes designed to be undertaken in succession throughout formative education, culminating in the IB Diploma Programme, a challenging two-year curriculum aimed at pupils aged 16 to 19. The IB qualification is welcomed by leading universities around the world.
The International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) is an internationally recognised qualification provided by the University of Cambridge International Examinations Board (CIE).
An IGCSE is designed to be taught as a 2-year course. Exams are taken by pupils in Year 11 (US Grade 10) and are equivalent to the UK GCSE and Cambridge International GCE O Level examinations.
Cambridge International Examinations (CIE) is the world’s largest provider of international qualifications for 14-19 years old.
The Cambridge IGCSE curriculum provides an excellent foundation for a range of higher-level courses, including the IB Diploma. It is recognised by schools, universities, and institutes around the world.
Cambridge IGCSE courses are designed to allow pupils to achieve high quality academic and personal skills. They develop pupils’ confidence, responsibility, reflection, innovation, and engagement in acquiring knowledge. The curriculum is flexible, giving pupils the freedom to select the subjects that are right for them.
The curriculum offers a variety of routes for learners with a wide range of abilities, including pupils whose first language is not English.
Pupils preparing for further education follow a broad and balanced curriculum from the following subject areas:

Most assessments take place at the end of the course with a mix of assessment methods, including practical exercises, oral and listening tests and written examinations. Pupils are expected to achieve at least a C in all subject areas.
Examinations are held in school in May and June each year, with results issued in August. Subjects are graded A* through to G, with A* being the highest.
Pupils who successfully achieve 5 C Grades at IGCSE are eligible to progress to our IB Diploma Programme. The Diploma Programme requires pupils to select subjects from similar IGCSE subject groups. Therefore, the topics chosen for the IBDP should ideally be related to pupils’ previous studies. Pupils’ IGCSE results for their proposed IB Higher Level (HL) subjects, should be of grade B or above in those areas.

The IB Learner Profile was developed from the IBO Mission Statement and describes the ideal character of an IB pupil. IB Diploma pupils are encouraged to be Inquirers, Thinkers, Communicators, Risk-takers, Principled, Open-minded, Caring, Knowledgeable, Balanced and Reflective.
IB Diploma pupils are active, compassionate, and lifelong learners and will exhibit each of the characteristics in the learner profile at various stages during their education. As a result of their robust education, IB pupils are better prepared for further study and enjoy diverse career paths.
All pupils must follow programmes and successfully complete tasks in Theory of Knowledge; Creativity, Action, and Service. They must also select a topic for an individual piece of research for their Extended Essay.
Extended Essay
Investigates a topic of individual interest. Pupils learn independent research and writing skills expected at university and are required to write a 4,000-word essay.
**Theory of Knowledge (ToK) **
Provides coherence by exploring the nature of knowledge across disciplines, encouraging an appreciation of other cultural perspectives.
**Creativity, Action, Service (CAS) **
Encourages pupils to be involved in artistic pursuits, sports, and community service work, thus fostering pupils’ awareness and appreciation of non- academic life.
Structure of the IB Programme
Pupils study 3 subjects at Higher Level, and 3 at Standard Level, selected from six different group areas. This allows pupils to explore some subjects in-depth, and others more broadly over a two-year period.
The IB Diploma is granted through formal assessment. This includes external examinations taken in all subjects in May of Year 13 alongside the internal assessments conducted throughout the programme.
Each subject is graded on a scale of 7 (maximum) to 1 (minimum). This gives total raw points score maximum of 42 points.
In order to obtain the Diploma, pupils must meet defined standards and conditions, including a minimum total of 24 points and the satisfactory completion of the three Core Diploma requirements, which are: Theory of Knowledge, CAS (Creativity, Action, Service) and the Extended Essay.
Theory of Knowledge and Extended Essay combine to contribute a possible 3 additional points to the overall score, giving a maximum Diploma score of 45 points.
The IB Diploma Programme is a challenging two-year curriculum aimed at pupils aged 16 to 19. This IB qualification is welcomed by leading universities around the world. Our university counsellor is available to guide learners with their subject choices and to provide information about universities.
