Location

Twenty minutes from downtown Boston, the school's proximity to the metro­politan area provides an extension to our campus. You can take part in a wide range of academic, athletic, and social experiences across the city and at many of the top universities and colleges. On the weekends, the boarding school runs free student shuttle buses from the campus to the local T station in Braintree, as well as the local shopping mall, South Shore Plaza, giving you lots of opportunity to explore the local area.

Activities

We offer a variety of onsite activities including sports, arts and crafts and team games. Our activities provide opportunities for students to have fun and make international friends.

Accommodations

Students are housed in brand new, modern, air-conditioned dormitory buildings with single en-suite bedrooms on the boarding school campus. Common rooms, laundry facilities and Wi-Fi internet access are available.

Please ensure you have money available for arrival and the first two weeks. We suggest around $250.

Excursions

Excursions allow students to really get to know the USA. We use destinations such as Downtown Boston as a classroom,where students will find historic and cultural information through guided walking tours and visits to museums and other places of interest.

DEVELOP YOUR CREATIVITY

COURSE OVERVIEW Participants will take part in lectures, workshops and lab-based lessons as well as visits to local places of relevant interest. The course focuses on the application of Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Maths to a series of real-world problems. The Innovation Lab allows our students to explore ideas, experiment with materials and build their own devices. The city of Boston and its environs will serve as an extension of the classroom through visits to Harvard, Marine Biological Laboratories and MIT Museum.

**PROGRAMME OUTCOMES ** ** **You will:

  • Learn how science, technology, engineering and math work in the real world.
  • Build teamwork and project management skills.
  • Learn how to build and program electronics and apply your knowledge by completing a
  • Wearable Technology project.
  • Learn how to use open-source technology to develop and practise coding skills.
  • Visit local STEM institutions.

CERTIFICATE Awarded for the successful completion of the course including a final finished computer game.
