Taught by West End professionals, students will gain a first-hand experience of the performing arts industry through tuition in acting, singing, dancing, stage-combat and puppetry, as well as taking part in West End workshops and watching West End shows.
Location
Founded in 1829, King’s College London is one of the oldest university-level institutions in England. The university has 5 campuses although school only uses the historic, and arguably, most famous Strand Campus, a short 5 minute walk from Covent Garden.
The students studying at King’s College London will benefit from an exciting activities schedule that centres around exploring life in the capital city. All students are provided with a London travelcard so they can visit museums, landmarks and famous city sites throughout their time on their course.

Activities
Every Bucksmore Education programme offering is carefully designed to provide fun and educational excursions that allow students to further their studies outside of the classroom. Whether this may be a ride on the London Eye taking in the spectacular sights of Central London, a private tour of various Cambridge or Oxford Universities, or a coordinated sports session on site, our social programme will engage and absorb students into British culture and heritage, guarantee long-lasting friendships and offer plentiful opportunities for students to improve their English in real-life settings. The excursions will promote communication skills for the students, testing their English language skills with each other and with members of the public.
Accommodations
Located only a 3 minute walk from Waterloo station, Stamford Street accommodation is located just south of the River Thames. Students are accommodated in flats of 6-7 students with one school staff member in each flat. All rooms are single en-suite and have a shared kitchen facility for hot water and fridges. Male and female accommodation is separate.
The main teaching site is at the Virginia Woolf Building, which is a 15 minute walk from the accommodation. Students will take their meals in Bush House, 2 minutes from the teaching site and adjacent to the famous Somerset House.

Pocket Money
We suggest students bring no more than £150 per week in spending money. The only things students will need to spend money on are souvenirs or snacks, everything else they may need is included in the course fee!

Bucksmore offers a free airport transfer service for all students at King’s College London arriving and/or departing between 10:00-20:00 at:
London Heathrow (LHR)
London Gatwick (LGW)
Students requesting private transfers outside of these destinations and times will be subject to additional charges.

Bucksmore Education recognises that the performing arts play a significant role in developing a persons creativity, confidence, coordination, language and communication skills. At all stages of life the skills learned in this genre can be transferred and help a student develop and reach their full potential in education and beyond. By partnering with a top West End theatre company West End On Demand, students will receive first hand experience of the industry and a true taste of West End Theatre. Students on the course will be taught by top West End professionals and the best of the theatre industry whilst they learn acting, singing, dance, stage combat and puppetry, as well as taking part in West End workshops, watching West End shows and going on a theatre tour! At the end of the 2 week course there will be a presentation followed by an award ceremony
West End On Demand is a leading performing arts organisation offering real-life insights into the industry. Their exciting workshops are taught by cast members from the top West End shows ensuring that students will receive a truly purposeful and relevant experience. They are passionate about learning through drama and focus on building confidence, creativity, communication skills and talent, whilst having lots of fun.
