The Oxford Cybersecurity Summer School Programme for ages 16-18 provides with Education Technology expert, TechSpark Academy, an exciting new future-facing course for summer 2025. Introducing students to the dynamic field of digital security, students will gain practical experience in identifying and mitigating cyber threats, learning to think like both attackers and defenders to develop critical problem-solving skills.
Perfect for students considering a career in cybersecurity or information technology, those wanting to gain highly sought after practical skills in today’s job market, or even students wanting be more proactive about their own digital safety – this programme covers fundamental topics such as digital forensics, web exploitation, cryptography, and network security.
Guided by experienced instructors, students will participate in hands-on workshops, challenges and simulations, applying their knowledge to real-world scenarios. This includes a Cyber Defence Hackathon, where participants collaborate to protect a simulated corporate network from attacks.
Students on our Cybersecurity School Programme will enhance their academic skills and strengthen their ability in school by:
Gain a solid understanding of cyber concepts such as network security, encryption, and threat detection.
Understand some of the key cyber challenges individuals and businesses face today, then put your knowledge to the test working to design and execute strategies to overcome these threats.
Get hands-on experience using industry-standard tools for network analysis, vulnerability scanning, and digital forensics.
Master core topics like digital forensics, cryptography, and network security. Gain a solid foundation in cybersecurity concepts and tools, empowering you to understand and address modern digital threats effectively.
Dive into practical activities like capture-the-flag competitions and cyber defense challenges. Work collaboratively to solve real-world cybersecurity scenarios, honing your skills in high-pressure, team-based environments.
Apply your knowledge in a “Cyber Defence Hackathon,” where you’ll design and execute strategies to protect a simulated network. Showcase your expertise in teamwork, problem-solving, and ethical decision-making.

With over 20 years of experience, Oxford Royale is an institution that offers educational experiences to bring students to the prestigious environment of the University of Oxford (Balliol College).
All our programmes take place in a secure environment. Our students are supervised 24 hours a day by campus staff. All students must check-in regularly during the day: at breakfast roll-call; at their morning classes; in the afternoon for lessons, workshops or activities; at dinner and in the evening before curfew. All campuses have a curfew.
Each campus office has its own safe where students may deposit items of value such as passports, travel documents, bank cards etc.
All campuses have residential staff who can be contacted 24 hours a day.

Eleanor Drage - AI Researcher: Fellow at the University of Cambridge Centre for the Future of Intelligence. Eleanor teaches AI professionals about AI ethics on a Masters course at Cambridge.
Dr Kerry McInerney - AI Researcher, Advocate: Senior Research Fellow at the University of Cambridge’s Leverhulme Centre for the Future of Intelligence, where she co-directs the Global Politics of AI project, exploring AI’s influence on international relations.
Kriti Sharma - AI Expert: Artificial Intelligence expert and a leading global voice on ethical technology, currently leading chatbot projects for various social causes, from productivity to inequality. Kriti was named one of Forbes 30 Under 30 for advancements in AI, and was also invited as a Civic Leader to the Obama Foundation Summit for her work in ethical technology.

Price includes transport to campus, welcome on arrival, transport booked for you by our head office team, dedicated transfers line to call if any queries, information emails in advance, monitoring of flight delays/diversions and auto-adjustment of transport, supervision at the airport, unaccompanied minor paperwork (if needed), connection with your transport, water and snack on arrival, and more.
As the programmes end, students are invited to attend an illustrious graduation ceremony to honour their achievements, in which they will receive their certificates in an amazing venue on campus. This is followed by a final graduation party on campus for students to celebrate!
