Course Description: Georgetown University - Career & Business Development

The Georgetown University Summer Program offers an immersive academic experience designed to enhance students' language and critical thinking skills while broadening their cultural perspectives. The program includes specialized two-week programs in Business or Academic English. Students participate in daily afternoon activities, weekly full-day excursions, and enjoy comfortable room and board accommodations.

Career & Business Development (2-week course, B1+ English level required)

This program is divided into two key sections, focusing on the fundamentals of modern employment and business creation:

1️⃣ Employability – Fundamentals of the Modern Workforce

✔ Understanding job descriptions and career opportunities.

✔ Crafting applications, resumes, and cover letters.

✔ Prepping for interviews and presenting yourself as a strong candidate.

2️⃣ Business Development – How to Start Your Own Business

✔ Learning the first steps to take as an entrepreneur.

✔ Exploring key business concepts such as market research, branding, and financial planning.

✔ Applying your knowledge by pitching a business idea to your peers.

✔ Classes are held at Georgetown University.

Small class sizes, averaging 14 students per class.

New York City trip for students attending during the second week of July.

One full-day excursion per week, with optional activities on Sundays.

  • Wednesday: Morning: Classes, Afternoon: International Spy Museum, Evening: Air & Space Museum

  • Thursday: Morning: Classes, Afternoon: Monument Night Tour, Evening: Movie Night

  • Friday: Morning: Classes, Afternoon: On-campus activity (Sports & Recreation), Evening: Dinner Out in Georgetown

  • Saturday: Full-day excursion to New York City, Evening: Talent Show

Week 2

  • Sunday: Arrival day & optional activities, Bike Tour of Washington, D.C., Welcome Activity

Airport Transfers:

  • Dulles International Airport – $200 each way.
