The Barnard College/Columbia University Summer Program provides an intensive and dynamic business-focused academic experience, designed to equip students with essential career skills, entrepreneurial knowledge, and leadership development while enhancing their English language proficiency. Set in the heart of New York City, this program offers one to six-week English language courses or specialized two-week courses in Career & Business Development, complemented by daily interactive activities, weekly full-day excursions, and residential accommodations with full room and board. Students will gain hands-on experience in business fundamentals, employability strategies, and entrepreneurial thinking, preparing them for success in today’s global marketplace.

1️⃣ Employability – Fundamentals of the Modern Workforce
Understanding job descriptions and career opportunities.
Crafting applications, resumes, and cover letters.
Prepping for interviews and presenting yourself as a strong candidate.
2️⃣ Business Development – How to Start Your Own Business
Learning the first steps to take as an entrepreneur.
Exploring key business concepts such as market research, branding, and financial planning.
Applying your knowledge by pitching a business idea to your peers.
