The Business & Economics Summer School at the University of Oxford is designed for ambitious 13–15-year-olds who want to understand the principles that drive global economies and successful enterprises. From supply and demand to persuasive pitching, this course blends classical theory with real-world application in a dynamic and engaging learning environment.

🧠 What You’ll Learn

Students on this course will:

  • Dive into foundational topics in both business and economics such as market systems, entrepreneurship, supply and demand, and financial literacy.

  • Learn how to construct and deconstruct arguments and proposals.

  • Strengthen skills in persuasion, analysis, and strategy-building.

  • Examine real-world business case studies and economic policies.

  • Participate in a life skills masterclass, focusing on teamwork, debating, and collaboration.

  • Set academic and personal goals at the start of the course and reflect on their growth during the programme.

Classes are small (maximum of 8 students), ensuring personalised attention and interactive learning. The course includes:

  • Daily seminars led by Oxford tutors.

🏫 Life at Oxford

Hosted in a University of Oxford college, students enjoy a balance of rigorous academics and exciting social experiences:

  • Comfortable full-board accommodation in shared or single rooms.

  • All meals included, served either in college dining halls or at local restaurants.

  • On-site support staff available 24/7.

  • A wide range of social events and evening activities.

🚐 Airport Transfers

The programme includes optional airport transfer services for students arriving and departing from London Heathrow Airport (LHR).

  • Arrival Transfer: Complimentary for all students. Our team will greet students at the airport and accompany them safely to the Oxford campus.

  • Departure Transfer: £145 per student.

    For registered Unaccompanied Minors (UM):

  • Upon arrival, airline staff will escort the student through the airport and hand them over to the summer programme staff in the arrivals hall.

  • For departures, students will be met by a dedicated UM supervisor, who will assist with check-in and ensure the student is safely handed over to airline staff for boarding.

📅 A Day in the Life

  • 08:00 – Breakfast with peers in the college dining hall.

  • 09:00–12:30 – Morning academic session with a short break.

  • 12:30–13:30 – Lunch and relaxation.

  • 13:30–15:00 – Directed study session or academic skills workshop.

  • 15:00–17:00 – Masterclass or enrichment activity.

  • 18:00 – Dinner.

  • 19:00–21:00 – Evening social events such as quiz nights, debates, or team challenges.

  • 22:00 – Lights out and rest.

🏆 Certificate & Graduation

At the end of the course, students receive:

  • A certificate of completion.

  • A personalised letter of recommendation from their tutor.

  • The opportunity to attend a graduation ceremony followed by a celebratory event.
