The school aims to build strong fluency and enhance English oral and written communication skills through a fun and dynamic language curriculum. Students develop their English skills through a variety of engaging sessions, including academic tutorials, group projects, conversation classes, and hands-on excursions that take learning outside the classroom. Our course also builds strong interpersonal skills such as teamwork, creativity, and confidence through project-based learning and mentorship. Student progress is tracked and assessed at the end of each course by the school assessment, an evaluation tool developed in alignment with the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR) scale.
Location
King Edward’s is a prestigious boarding school founded by King Edward VI in 1553. The school has excellent on-site facilities including modern classrooms with smart boards, a dance studio, and all-weather pitches across the 100-acre site.
During World War II the School was requisitioned by the Admiralty Signals Establishment, renamed HMS Mercury, and used for top secret war work to develop naval radar. It has been said that ‘the Battle of the Atlantic was won on the playing fields of Witley’

Activities
Every programme offering is carefully designed to provide fun and educational excursions that allow students to further their studies outside of the classroom. Whether this may be a ride on the London Eye taking in the spectacular sights of Central London, a private tour of various Cambridge or Oxford Universities, or a coordinated sports session on site, our social programme will engage and absorb students into British culture and heritage, guarantee long-lasting friendships and offer plentiful opportunities for students to improve their English in real-life settings. The excursions will promote communication skills for the students, testing their English language skills with each other and with members of the public.
Accommodations
Student accommodation is split across several houses — Tudor, Edward, and Ridley. Bedrooms are comprised of single, 2-bed and 4-bed rooms (with separate male/female accommodation). Bathrooms are shared between 4-6 students. Staff will collect laundry weekly and return it the next day. Laundry is also available on site. There is free wifi throughout, and a computer room is available for students.
Meals
All meals are included in the tuition. Packed lunch will be provided on excursion days.
Pocket Money
We suggest students bring no more than £150 per week in spending money. The only things students will need to spend money on are souvenirs or snacks, everything else they may need is included in the course fee!
