What's Included
Accommodation for 13 nights in a University of Cambridge college.
Daily breakfast and dinners, with a memorable distinctive formal dining experience in the Cambridge tradition on the day of the graduation ceremony.
All academic activities, such as lectures, supervisions, revisions/seminars, master talks with world-class speakers, organisational visits, final group presentations, and access to teaching venues.

Majority of accommodation in single/twin rooms with shared, unisex bathrooms.
Dormitory rooms vary in size, shape, and style across different colleges.

Includes airport pick-up and drop-off shuttle services for London Heathrow.
Arrival and Departure Times:
Will be set 3 different times on the arrival day for pick up and students are encouraged to purchase flight in accordance with the set time.
Morning after 9am, afternoon and evening no later than 6pm is assumed. Specific times will be announced soon.
Transportation provided for day trips to London and Oxford.

Prof. Pietro Lio:
Current Roles: Full Professor of Computational Biology at University of Cambridge's Department of Computer Science and Technology, active in the Artificial Intelligence group.
Academic Background: Holds an MA from Cambridge, dual PhDs in Complex Systems and Non-Linear Dynamics (University of Firenze, Italy), and Theoretical Genetics (University of Pavia, Italy).
Research Focus: Specializes in bioinformatics and computational biology models using machine learning to integrate molecular, clinical, social, and lifestyle data for personalized and precision medicine. Aims to enhance disease diagnosis, understand disease trajectories, and optimize treatment strategies.
Lecture Topics: Deep Learning, Random Walks Models: mutual information, contrastive examples, implementation, and applications, Challenges in Image Analysis, Single Agent; relationships between Value, Policy, Model, Multi-Agent; implementation examples, A2C, A3C, curiosity-driven learning.

Professor Nic Lane:
Current Roles: Full Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Technology at the University of Cambridge and leads the Cambridge Machine Learning Systems lab (CaMLSys).
Fellowship: Holds a Fellowship at St. John’s College, University of Cambridge.
Research Focus: Specializes in designing, architecting, and algorithm development for scalable and robust machine learning (ML) systems.
Key Areas: His work is centered on developing advanced ML systems that utilize multi-modal data (like speech, vision, location, inertial information) for complex real-world situational analysis. Emphasizes on flexibility (such as distributed execution, adaptation) and efficiency (in compute and memory usage) in systems.
Lecture Topics: Computer Architecture, Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence, Systems and Networking.
Professor Nic Lane will be teaching on Session 2.

Requirements
Target Audience: High School, Undergraduate and Postgraduate students aged 16 and above, aiming to develop academic knowledge and experience Cambridge culture.
Transcript Requirements:
Current transcript from school/university to demonstrate basic knowledge in the subject of application.
Preference for students studying relevant subjects.
Proof of English Proficiency:
High level of English required for interaction and final assessments.
Acceptable proofs include English proficiency test certificates, school transcripts, or competition certificates.
Personal Statement: A statement (2000 characters) outlining goals, aspirations, and suitability for the programme.
